The AVP is Aithne's age-verification endpoint. When a merchant asks (through a PPIL client) whether a user is over an age threshold, the AVP verifies the attestation from the user's wallet and returns a verifiable result — without ever revealing who the user is.
How it's used
The endpoint is https://aithne.online/avp. Merchants use a PPIL client and a license key named avp-api-key-aithne (never published; always a masked example on this site). Availability is confirmed before go-live — the status page reflects the current published configuration.

Why it's safe
The AVP surface deals only with age claims and proof tokens. No name, DOB, email, phone, address, or payment data requests the AVP; none is stored or logged. Verification is attestation-based, and receipts are merchant-signed for auditability.
